Cancellation & Refund Policy

This Cancellation and Refund Policy details the terms for cancelling a booking made on www.eastindiatravel.in or through a direct quote from East India Travel Co, along with the applicable refund process.

We ask for a 20% deposit as soon as a tour gets confirmed. This amount is forwarded to the suppliers to hold the services on a confirmed basis. If a tour is cancelled after this deposit is made we will retain 5% of such deposits as handling charges. 

Cancellation by You

You may cancel your booking at any time before the commencement of your tour date. The amount of refund you will receive depends on the cancellation timeframe:

The charges indicated above are in addition to the non-refundable elements, if any, of the booking which have been contracted on your behalf and notified you. 

Cancellation requests made after the designated cancellation period will not be eligible for a refund.

To cancel your booking, please contact us at tours@eastindiatravel.in. You will receive a confirmation email once your cancellation is processed.

Policies are subject to change. In the event of any updates, all booked guests will be notified accordingly.

Cancellation by Us

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer you the following options:

· A full refund for the canceled booking.

· A booking for an alternative date with equivalent or better accommodations (subject to availability).

Changes to Your Booking

If you need to modify your booking dates, please contact us as soon as possible. We will try our best to accommodate your request, but changes may be subject to availability and additional charges.

Refunds

· Refunds will be credited within 7 business days of receiving your cancellation request to the original payment method used for the booking.

Non-Refundable Fees

· Any processing fees associated with your booking are non-refundable.

Deferment

· Please note that deferments can only be availed once within 6 months from the date of cancellation.

· Deferments will be non-refundable, subject to availability, and additional charges.

· A credit note issued for deferment can only be used for the specific service it was originally granted for. For example, if the deferment was for accommodation, the credit note will apply only to accommodation charges. Likewise, a credit note issued for transport can be redeemed solely against transport charges.

· Deferment is not applicable on bookings confirmed with a 50% advance payment.

· If a booking has already been deferred once, any further request for deferment will not be possible, and the booking will be considered non-refundable.
