Day 06: Lake 1 to Lake 2, Lake 3 & Lake 4
Trek appx. 3.30 hours to Lake 2, Emuh Ya. This will be our Base Camp at 14,000 ft. There are wooden log huts for our stay which ensures a bit of comfort in the wilderness. The terrain, for some parts, is rocky. On reaching our camp site, we walk for another 30 minutes to Lake 3 called Koyombo. This is the smallest of the 7 Lakes. From here another short hike will bring us to Lake 4 called Dini and this is the largest of the lakes. Each of these lakes, though located close together, have distinct beauty giving one the opportunity to realize how very awesome nature can be. Trek back to Lake 2 (Base Camp).
Day 07: Base Camp to Lake 5, Lake 6 & Lake 7
We will trek to Lake 5 called Chene. Local hunters have reported that the lake glows at midnight, a phenomenon attributed to various factors like bioluminescent organisms in the water, unique geological formations or other natural occurrences that creates an ethereal glow. Continue walking over the Chene pass to Lake 6 and 7 and return to base Camp.
Day 08: Base Camp to Jungle Camp 2
We will start the return journey today as we climb down to Jungle Camp 2, 6 hours.
Day 09: Jungle Camp 2 to Emuli and drive to Anini
Continue descending to Emuli from where we started the trek. Board waiting vehicle and drive back to Anini. Overnight at homestay.
Day 10: Day trip to Chigu and Bruni, 60 KM one way
Drive up the Dree River through the picture-perfect Dree River valley to Bruni, the last settlement before the Chinese border. The journey is full of great mountain vistas, cascading waterfalls and small settlements. The Dree River carves out a narrow valley between two mountain ranges going upto 4000 mtrs. We will enjoy a lunch at the Chigu Camp located by the river with 3 waterfalls in view. Return to Anini.
Day 11: Anini to Roing
Continuing on our journey back, we will be at Roing once again. Overnight at the homestay.
Day 12: Roing to Dibrugarh, 140 KM/ 4 hours
Drive back through the long bridge to Dibrugarh airport to board outgoing flight.
